Frequently Asked Questions

How can your station apply for a hood grant? Applications may be obtained on our website or by request. Grants for organizations are limited to a maximum of one grant in a 12-month period. How is Hoods For Heroes funded? Hoods For Heroes is funded by corporate grants, private businesses, fundraisers and a national marketing campaign. Also, HFH receives proceeds from collaborative revenue sharing agreement with for-profit companies. Who is eligible for a hood grant? All stations, fire colleges, high school programs and developmental programs, paid or otherwise. What is the selection process? Volunteer members of the grant selection committee administer grants. The decisions made by the committee are based on the funds available and the joint efforts of the organization requesting the grant. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
